Final notes 7/19/10
This year we would like to do something a little different.
we are going to post some testimonies from the trip. So check back this week and by sunday we will have many testimonies of how
God touched and changed lives. I hope you you enjoy your reading.
7/16/10
sorry it has been so long, we have not had internet from
the last update till now. We have had a great trip.
Tuesday and Wednesday we worked really hard in the mornings and
spent time have a great VBS with about 60 kids. Most of which
are not apart of the local church there. Tuesday we talked about
the wall of Jerico and Wednesday we were able to share the gospel and really
reach out to the older kids that came all week. Come sunday to hear about it.
Thursday was our sight seeing day and today we have made it to
the airport. Please pray that we make our flight in Houston tonight so we can make it home before tomorrow. God is great!
7/13/10 am
Monday, had a much more "normal" mission trip day
for our group. we painted an entire kitchen and removed a
huge section of leaky roof. The work was hot but fulfilling.
Our team loves to work! The fun really started in the afternoon when
we were incharge of a vbs for 50 students. That was
a huge learning curve. We learned a lot of culture and
and how to not do a lot of things. But at the end of the day
one of the ladies who we have spent alot of time with
told me in english, which is a big deal, that she
thought it went really well! Please pray with us that
people will hear about the real Jesus this week and join the
amazing church we are serving with this week. We are excited about another
great day and what God is going to do.
7/11/10 pm
This morning's service was amazing. God gave us a cool
thing. We found out that the pastor was speaking from the exact passage
we were study in our bible study. We are very excited that
we get to work tomorrow. Please pray for safety in our
work and blessings in the vbs in the afternoon.
The vbs will start at around 2:30 in the afternoon. we
are expecting around 70 students. please pray that this will
grow this very loving church in Guatemala.
thanks for your prayers. we are exactly were God wants us.
by the way, skype has not been our friend if that changes you will know.
7/11/10 am
Last night we had no internet to update what was going on.
we have recovered from the flight and blitz of friday
and are getting ready for the week. the high light of yester day
was joining their youth ministry and found out
they are studing what we are this week.
isn't it cool how God can be touching the
same place countries apart. I am praying that church is outstanding
today in kiowa. Miss you guys but happy to be right where we are
supposed to be. By the way, we have zero injuries
to report and have had more than one laugh!
7/9/10
WE MADE IT TO THE CAMP GROUND! We are hear and
excited about what is going to do this week. Tomorrow we are
going to meet some people from the church and
get to know them. Please pray for us
as we get ready to replace a roof and paint next week.
Also we were told to expect 70 kids for VBS next week. We are super
stoked about God working through us.
7/7/10
The trip is coming together! We are getting close
to getting all the details worked out for the trip.
Please pray for us and here is a fun addition, Parents
if you have skype or want to get it. We think that we will be able
to use that program to talk to home. so if you get a call
from "invasion.mvc" you should pick it up. You might just have
a chance to talk to your kid!
